First:  It is OK to write down your passwords and more.
  • Devices & Account passwords and more:  additionally, user ID, sign-in, log-in, 4 digit codes, 6 digit codes, pins, security questions and answers, and more.
  • IMPORTANT:  If passwords and ID's change - please make that note.
  • These tips are key in planning for the future of the surviving spouse and family.  This will save a lot of problems and frustration for the bereaved family and friends.
List:  Devices and Accounts
  1. Cell Phones: ID and password.
  2. IPads & Tablets: Security code digits, Apple ID and password, ITunes Store account log-in and password. Two-factor authentication code and password, Windows Store and Microsoft account.
  3. Mini IPads and/or tablets: such as Nook, Kindle, etc).  If you are a reader on-line - make sure you list you log-in/user ID and/or passwords for ordering, buying or renting books.
  4. Computers: (Both laptops and Desktops in your household).  Security sign-in (if you have one), log-in and password, (if you have one).  Note:  Some computers/operating systems do not require a sign-in and password.  Although, most do require this security.
  5. Combination Laptops and Tablets: (such as the new Windows Surface or Lenova tablet and more).  They usually require several passwords.
  6. Wrist Tech - such as Apple Watches and Fitbits.  These have accompanying apps on a tablet or cell phone and need log-in User and Passwords.
  7. Ipods or other brand music devices.  They usually have a log-in User and passwords.
  8. ​On-line accounts: (such as - Websites - which include the following).  These ALL have a sign-in, log-in or user ID and passwords or pins: (Examples below).
​(8a). ​​E-mail:  Your E-mail account if you log-on line with (for example), Google, Comcast, Yahoo, MSN Hotmail, Microsoft Live or Outlook, Century Link, AOL, Other cable providers, Dish or Satellite or many other providers.
(8b). Facebook/My Space, Linkedin, snapchat, instagram and more social media. 
Ordering/shopping websites; such as: Amazon, E-Bay, QVC, Post ofc. account, Bealls, Kohls, HSN, Evine & more.
Stock Accounts and Financial Investment accounts.
(8c). Bank Accounts, of course.
 Bill Paying on-line:  sign-in and passwords.
(8d). Home WiFi Network security code name and password.
(8e). Modem and/or Router Name, sign-in and password, (if you want to change).
(8f). House/Landline Phone code for retrieving voicemail messages, if using their voicemail.
(8g). Ordering prescriptions/medicines on-line with your on-line pharmacy or even a Walgreen account ordering on-line and then picking up at the store.
